FISHING

Upavon Farm chalk stream fishing is an idyllic setting within walking distance of the centre of the village which houses two pubs, The Antelope Inn which provides accommodation and The Ship Inn which stocks an array of local real ales. Both pubs offer food and there is also a village Londis shop offering a good range of products.

This section of the river Avon is a half-mile stretch and the beat is best suited for wading (waist/chest waders depending on seasonal conditions).

Frank Sawyer who as some will no doubt associate with the infamous dry fly known as the Pheasant Tail was a river keeper just downstream.

This stretch of the river is ideally suited to an 8 ft rod, it has never been stocked and has an abundance of wild Brown Trout and Grayling.
